I saw 8 at my friends PC and its HORRIBLE! I stick to the good old XP
I don't even see a reason to dual boot with XP anymore. I just run pure 7.

Great, I'll wait for 8 to be fixed before I get a new Dell.
Fuck Israel
Doesn't really need fixed. It's not an OS for doing mass amounts of gaming or shit on, for that stick to 7, but for a laptop that you're going to be using like the average consumer? Works fine. And is prettier, which I guess is all that counts for anyone non tech-savvy nowadays.
Explain how Windows 8 is less capable than Windows 7 for playing games.

Now I think about it I only really had problems with the beta, which was to be expected.
Let me retract that statement plz.

Once Metro becomes something that isn't forced, I think 8 will sell like crazy, there were a lot of other great things about it that got lost in the mess of having Metro
Metro isn't forced.
Well, since you can't get rid of it without a third party program, I think it's definitely forced.
We use it at work as a default option, and I don't really get on with it. It's the little things - I'd just prefer 7.
Some things are cool, like better multiple monitor support, but it's just... Meh.
I've also heard wireless sucks on it.

Why would wireless have been different on it?
Just what I've been told, as well as myself noticing random drop-outs when I use it.
that^ is prolly not a system fault but rather drivers. in time is will be fixed my hardware manufacturers.
as to win 8 - personally i see no reason to switch. it wasn't worth it getting adjusted to the bullshit introduced by post xp-systems, and it's still not worth it adjusting to more bullshit introduced by 8 while there's almost nothing new or useful whatsoever. yet another piece of crap forced down the consumers throat under false pretense of "innovation" and all that jazz.

Well I installed it again on my ThinkPad X61 Tablet(full version this time not the beta, yay) and everything's going great except I can't use my dad's Windows 8 Pro key because it's already locked into the computer he used it on. But I kind of assumed that would happen and I don't really mind paying $140 for the license/disc when my next paycheck comes
Also figured out if I swipe from the top-right of the screen I can close apps with the pen input now

The rule with Windows is to skip a generation. I look froward to being blown away by Windows 9
I look forward to never having had Vista or Windows 8

Everyone should know by now that Microsoft uses the "pallet cleaning formula", by where they release a shitty product before a good one to make you appreciate the good one even more.
Win2000 (Good) --> WinME (Shit) -->WinXP (Great) --> Vista (Shit) --> Win7 (Great) -->Win8 (Shit)

The problem with W8 is the attempt to dumb it down. They hide a lot of useful features trying to make it "accessible" like iOS and shiz
How dare they try to compete with the new powerhouses on the market. They should just re-release Windows 98 and keep shit hard. I don't want filthy casuals using my OS but I'm not elitist enough to think Linux has any merit.bennisboy wrote:
