Also because the mods haven't ever heard of casual fridays around here. Maybe a couple people would have had a laugh from the "vote riggingthe us election trolololo" thread. Isn't that what the EE section is for?iNeedUrFace4Soup wrote:

My personal view is that the prevalence of all-encompassing 'chat' threads has had a huge negative impact to these forums.
Thread was made on thursday.
Whatever, go on, moderate the spam section of an aging forum to death.

Let's get one thing straight- everything else isn't the spam section. If people spam in ee then I'm going to delete it if I come across it. If anyone has a problem with a particular moderators action against them or anyone else, take it up with the mod or escalate the issue to an admin. As long as the rules are still valid, follow them. Its not that hard.-Whiteroom- wrote:

Thinking back, that thread was a harmless spoof thread and I shouldn't have closed it. Sorry miggle.
honestly, how often do you see an admin?KEN-JENNINGS wrote:

sometimes, especially with D&ST the way it is, a "harmless spoof thread" in ee is a better way to comment on issues, and have commentary from some who never go into DAST.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:

EE chat was made to put all the "spam" posts into one thread, because EE was at the time filled with them. It has grown out of its use.
