So the guy who shot up the college was wearing body armor and got shot. He then retreated into the class and killed himself.

I know we don't have an epidemic of people committing crimes wearing body armor with ceramic plates and bullet proof mask.

It is a little weird that you can order military grade body armor to your home and all you need is a credit card. I don't see how a heavy vest with ceramic plates is useful outside of firefights. Not sure why your average Joe in the suburbs needs one.

Not saying it should be banned. It's just strange that these things are so easily available.

Pretty sure if that mask actually worked you'd see it used by cops and soldiers

Toddlers are using guns at a rate of roughly once a week in the US.
Are the gun owners being charged with negligence.  I'd say that if you can't lock up a fucking gun around a toddler, you shouldn't be allowed to own a gun.

1 incident per state per year is hardly an epidemic... it's almost like the publisher is looking for cheap click bait headlines in order to push a policy agenda...

How many deaths does something take until it is relevant? Like an actual number.

I'm just saying, 320,000,000 people, 50 incidents per year...

But others do, your kid could be visiting friends/relatives etc. and there could be an accident waiting to happen.

Nah, this is shit you'd expect from meth heads. And my wife and I are rather attentive. I'll take my chances

you mean 24 million- the total population of children 0-5 years old.  It's a fucking problem, dude.  You can't just obfuscate the issue by comparing it to the total population of the US or by reducing it to "one instance per state, per year".

Did you look at the map in the article (doubtful, since you probably didn't even click the link).

It isn't always a meth head leaving a gun on a table in these cases. It often is a kid showing one  of their parents guns off to another kid and accidentally killing them. Or a kid finding one under a bed or in a closet in a game of hide and seek and shooting themselves.

How about when the number of incidents exceeds the number of annual million dollar lottery winners.
