I'm about to go do an 11.5 hour shift in a little bit. We're doing a live test with a new data entry program(with an actual GUI and mouse capabilities) to replace the old one that acts like DOS and that's gonna take 4 hours, then we start on the actual work after that's done. At least the manager's getting everybody Chic-fil-A and that's another 3 hours worth of overtime on top of the additional 2 per day from training all week for the new program

could be seen as our employers provide leave without being FORCED by government. I've never worked a full-time job that didn't offer paid leave.
Happens plenty. Some people only get paid what hours they work with whatever overtime they have after whatever withholdings or whatnot that they're subject to. No paid leave.

They would in Australia, 4 weeks with a 17% loading as well.
If they are full time and working in McDonalds here they would.

depends on salary level. if you don't make enough money you don't pay into the medicare(our NHS) levy of 1.5% of your income. i think its something like making over 37k a year to be payable into the health care, so yeah a mcdonalds full time employee might not have to pay into healthcare.RTHKI wrote:
