games that deserve new versions

something inbetween. sequels go bad (see AOEIII) and new graphics is nice, but not really changing the game. basically titles you'd like to see made LIKE HOW THEY USED TO MAKE VIDYA GAMES

There aren't enough of those "school of" fps. Painkiller is close, but nowhere near worthy of the above.

I'd say Serious Sam has done a good job of carrying on the style of the old-school fps. Too bad more people don't play.

I don't know about Doom. As much as I liked the originals and didn't like Doom 3 as much, they were probably right to reboot rather than make a sequel. What else could they have the doom guy do?
