I put an old $40 microsoft keyboard in the dishwasher a few years back. Put it on the top rack and go at it. Just let it dry for 2-3 days.
I ripped my G15 entirely apart and washed it.
I forget where the info was, but I think I just googled "washing G15 keyboard" or something.
Anyway, it showed the best way to take it apart. The author used a dishwasher to wash the plastic inards... (I had to slum it with just hot soapy water - fixes almost anything).
Anyway, the end result was a nice clean keyboard, and an interesting experience seeing how it all works inside. Highly recommended.

Compressed air, rubbing alcohol and qtips would've been less messy than using the shower on it.Camm wrote:
Whipped all the key caps off, and dumped them in a container with boiling water and bleach. Took the keyboard to the bathroom and used the shower on it, then got some cotton buds and worked my magic with them. Looks so much better, it's drying on top of the radiator now.
