So..
Left PC in sleep mode while at work, get back, boot pc up, pc won't boot up, fans spin, no display.
Fine. Reboot
BOOTMGR is missing. OK. Stick vista disc in, tap f9 to boot from disc and run a repair but a series of beep codes proceed followed by the PC turning off.
Now every time I power on the PC the fans spin up then stop and everything goes off again - no display
I've removed bits, tried booting, remove more, tried booting etc etc with the same result
The only time it showed any sort of life is when I removed the memory and I got the no memory beep error. If it wasn't for this, I would have put it down to a dodgy motherboard.
Only thing I haven't removed is the CPU simply because it's a bitch to remove with the fan I'm using and I figured 'it can't be the processor!'
So, thoughts, ideas?
Perhaps the PSU is kaput? or maybe it is the motherboard, I can't figure it out.
