Ryan Giggs - Fellow Welshman who's been competing at the highest level for 20 years, incredible
Zinedine Zidane - Probably the best technical player around when I was growing up, fantastic player and exciting to watch
Fat Ronaldo - Unbeatable in his prime, could walk through defences and scored goals for fun at pretty much every club considered to be the best apart from the British ones.
Sir Bobby Charlton - Knew a bit about him, record appearance holder for United, the Munich disaster etc but then BBC showed a couple of great documentaries about him and the Munich disaster that informed me a lot. What he's been through is extraordinary, England's best player in '66 and still holds United's all time goalscoring record. (Giggs overtook his appearance record in the champs league final of '08)
Paul Scholes - There's a reason he's lauded as being the finest midfielder by the likes of Zidane, Henry, Xavi, Iniesta etc etc Messi says his standards are used as a reference at La Masia (barca's youth academy). An excellent midfielder who was key to United's success throughout the 90's and 00's, thankfully he's staying on to coach at United after he retired this summer.
