so with tf2 you have to commence the replay before any of the stuff happens? it doesn't retro-actively record your last life like xfire in-game can do? cause it's a bit poo if you need to constantly be recording stuff to ever hope to get a good sequence. i've only looked at the replay menu for about... 10 seconds though, just seeing what it was about.

You can record your previous life, yes. The only thing is that because you do that during the time you're dead, on instant spawn servers, you will need to be recording all the time, while those that have timed respawns you dont.
When you die a message pops up at the top saying "Press F6 to record that life" or something along those lines. You can start it during your life if something cool happens, or when you die afterwards while waiting to respawn. But after that it's gone forever, which can be a bit annoying if you're not paying attention and wanted to save it.Uzique wrote:

If you're not playing on an insta-spawn server (which you shouldn't be) there's plenty of time to save the replay.
What I don't get is why they force you to record replays without a hud...I'd like to still have the kill notices.
I've only filmed a few and not looked into it, I thought there'd be a way to put it on. That kinda sucks then.DefCon-17 wrote:
