so aliens: fireteam elite is out? xenomorph left 4 dead. i've seen some gameplay, some of the animations seem a little jerky but otherwise it seems to have the soundscape down.

Lots to unpack in that first video. I don't think I've ever seen anyone casually just carrying a Switch around, we have mobile games. Second, why are they using a Switch ad on the Steam store?
Might be a neat tool for concept art outlining or for a d&d gm, neither of which I'm doing. No set goals, no resource gathering to bottleneck your building. They're pretty open about that, and I honestly prefer a system like that over poorly-implemented pacing in some RTSs.

Played BF1 and 5 campaigns. Had some fun. Don't care to try mp in em. Bf5 had a glitch in one campaign story where if I picked up a gun too quickly or something if would break my inventory and the only way to fix was to swap it out again.

Tried rdr2. PC blue screened 40min in or so. I think it overheated
I haven't gotten a lot of crashes out of rockstar games. GTA 5 in particular was very stable even on a computer where it maybe shouldn't have been.
I'm in a weird position where I'm squeezing everything I can get out of my old system without resorting to self-destructive overclocks. On the plus side, I have a better video card than some people are having to into new builds due to the crappy market right now, and its gains on a newer platform will be even better. Need to build soonish anyway because of Windows 11 I guess.

Idk what it is, maybe ram usage. Ac origins uses more CPU and more GPU but my PC isn't as much of a jet engine when playing it. Trying it again to see what happens. Killed chrome this time. None of the graphics settings affected CPU really, GPU is at 7%, would be 50% in ac origins. Cpu is 50%, would be 80% In ac origins.

Without knowing your bluescreen, check your bios for aggressive OC, run a memtest, and do some sort of stress test benchmark in windows.
Dust your computer (really get into the heatsinks and fans without tipping the can). If it's been awhile since you last applied thermal paste to your CPU, maybe reapply (every half decade if nothing else happens and temps seem good is fairly reasonable).
But before any of that, run the game again and if it blue screens. Get a photo.

PC is only 2.5 years old. barely any dust inside somehow. Just ran rdr2 for 45min fine.
The bluescreen was associated with ram and on reboot it was bluescreening again. Unplugging it for 15seconds was enough to stop the bluescreen loop

It would be interesting to know the exact cause of that. If it just bluescreened there it's probably not your sticks. Your computer is probably too new for windows to start applying incorrect drivers to stuff.
Next easy suggestion is to close Firefox, Chrome. I have lots of tabs open on my stuff and that can really compete with hoggish games like 7 days to die.

I have been having nightmares with BsoD and freezes for the entire summer at least. A Windows refresh didn't help.

I don't think it is the heat. I think my triple monitor madness just doesn't have good driver support. Hopefully Windows 11 has better support for millennial manchildren and their setups.
I thought your need for three monitors was mostly professional.

I only had one game BSoD really. The other two games I play just occasionally freeze and need to be restarted. More of an annoyance than anything.

No but the kids need to be back in school. It's a national embarrassment that we kept bars and clubs open so bar rats can get each other sick while kids lost 3 years of education.

Anyway I completed a great run in HOI4 as Germany with the restored Kaiser. Defeated all other great powers and united the world under the Central Powers. Someday I will post the screenshots.
