I'm glad i found an open topic on this, although i may be posting in a gloating area, i dont't wish to moan in a stomping ground.
Unfortunately i can't gloat, only cry. I know the way driver ability points work. Either Medic/Engineer or Support and heal/repair/re-supply bots around your position while in vehicle... bla bla, but seriously folks, , i did nothing else for a day but resupply and it increases by 11 points. As i herd the chang chang of re-supply i figured i was on a winner.
Now i'm no noob at bf2 but i see players half my stats (80,000) already on over 2000 and yet to fill a 100 hours on any combat badge.
I play mainly Gulf of Omen, all vehicles available etc. I've read topics on 'racking up driver points' but racking doesn't seem to apply to me. Its stay in vehicle while supporting other players while being a human icon for planes to bomb the crap outta me. It sucks.....alot.

Could some-one gratefully explain how to 'rack' up driver ability points ? or a method on how to get more than 2 in a game ?

The heal/repair/resupply are just "special ability assist" points, but still count towards driver points. Driver kill assists are much easier to come by and will also count towards driver points. Just get good at piloting a heli and find a good gunner.

in my experience, moving the crosshair to the top of the aimbox makes the glitch happen. i've never really confirmed, but snake and me used to fuck around with it a bit and that seemed to be the common cause.

The main cause of the crosshair glitch is caused by changing views while reloading your LGM. Make sure you have a missile ready before you change your view. This isn't 100% effective, but it did cut down on about 90% of my LGM glitches.

007dialer - if you could get Steelie to gun for you, you could rack up some driver points. Just be prepared for him to tk you a couple of times
