Let's please not turn this into a bitch-fest about who's right and wrong or why Pitchfork and the Rolling Stone suck. The music magazines/blogs are in the process of posting their lists and a thread of (civilized) discussion should be in order.

So, who do you expect to top a lot of lists, who do you think is overlooked or overrated and who would you put as your favourites?

Obviously I expect Kanye to be top of quite a few of them, and I see he tops Rolling Stone's list as well.. I'm in no position to post an "educated opinion" on the top albums of the year, but some of my favourite albums of 2010 are:

Deerhunter - Halycon Digest
Beach House - Teen Dreams
James Blake - CMYK, Klavierke
Caribou - Swim
Holy Fuck - Latin
Wild Nothing - Gemini

..though I've probably overlooked quite a few.

This year has been a downer for me, music-wise. Finished school, moved back home, so I wasn't listening to as much music as I used to. However, I've also managed to come across a lot more, which is good, but can be overwhelming. So many things I haven't gotten around to yet.

I only know Kanye because of the Taylor Swift thing and I know of Drake because I guess he came a university near me to perform... Other than that I don't know any of the others
