The ui was designed for consoles. Its simple and fluid with a control pad. Actually the whole game serms incredibly polished on 360.

Everything does feel like it was made for a pad rather than keyboard and mouse tbh...

Lot of small porting errors such as not being able to rotate items with the mouse and rotating in character-creator causes problems too...
It feels very wierd being forced to use keyboard to navigate much of the inventory aswell tbh...

Light armour gets multiple +armour perks and also regen stamina more quickly + something else I think. I dont know what the heavy perks are though.

Heavy armour has the same +armour perks and various other similar to the light version

Just got back from GAME. Skyrim currently installing. Picked up the strategy guide as well to give me something to read while on the toilet

Dark brotherhood questline is fucking awesome, and I've only done the first 2 or 3

Well this seems like a good game to play on shitty winter days.  The world design looks really immersive, despite the graphics engine being kind of dated. 

I may pop my Elder Scrolls cherry for this one, once they patch it a little (and hopefully a holiday sale might knock a little off the price).  I can't really believe that I've never played a game in this series, despite liking fantasy and video games...

Also if anyone can help, after I've cleared out that Dwarven Dungeon for one of the Dark Brotherhood contracts.
At the end there's this thing that you can press "Activate Dwarven Mechanism", but I don't have the button for it.
Anyone know where to get it?

Have played for some time now...

I don't like all the different crafting tools, would rather just have 1 crafting station where all could be crafted/improved...

And don't even get me started on the dull ass mining/woodcutting stuff, I want a game not a "looking at people work, simulator" kthx...

I dislike that the world keeps going when you talk to people, when you get somewhere new and want to speak to everyone it was alot easier to keep track of them when time froze as you spoke to each one.

Otherwise I'm looking forward to a Fallout on this engine, it looks sweet even on my 3-4 year old PC and I've only crashed to desktop once so far...

wow, this game most certainly was made for consoles

Does anybody else notice how moving the mouse to look up and down seems to feel kind of weird compared to looking left and right or is it just me?

Btw, here's how to turn off Vsync if you want to free up some more power for graphics, courtesy of Tweakguides:

Go to
My Documents\My Games\Skyrim

Open the Skyrim.in file in notepad

Add iPresentInterval=0 to the bottom of the [Display] section and save it, and obviously setting it to 1 will keep it enabled but there's no way to disable it in the menu by default.
