Seeing this has also made me realize exactly why DiRT 2 was such a letdown compared to DiRT1... DiRT 2 is just an american wankfest while DiRT was actually about the good stuff...

Hardly, definitely took ~20 mins. Played for an hour and a half last night, still getting the driving down since it's a bit more realistic than drift 2. I've yet to test damage, but if I remember correctly damage is more like dirt 1, where you could damage all components of your car.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

How's the rallying? Comrises more of the game than in 2, I hope. I'll have to pick this up, though.
From what I have read (I havent played enough to judge myself) this isnt the case. If you are buying it only for rally I wouldnt get too excited. There is still plenty of the trucks, and the rally courses are not that long (2-3mins). There is also a new mode that is stunt driving, ie not rally. A lot of new multiplayer modes that arent rally like some kind of tag variant and the aformentioned stunt driving.DesertFox- wrote:

Personally, it doesnt bother me but any review of the game I have seen from a rally point of view doesnt seem hugely favourable (from a lack of it rather than the quality).
It looks great though, thats for sure.
The stunt driving should of been in Dirt 2, it would of matched the mood and setting a lot better.

Stuntman was amazing... I think I might go play that now But the new stunt mode is related to ken block's gymkhana vids, it's really fun.
This game looks incredible. Mainly thanks to the weather effects + aesthetic improvements to the lighting. Driving through a snowstorm in a multiplayer race was great
