Oh yes

No release dates or any real info yet, but this trailer had its debut three days ago;

I never got around to playing DiRT 2, but the first one was awesome.

They best be bringing back WRC type events.  I loved the first game but the second was a bit of a let down because all the events were the same generic short, closed course affairs which got boring quickly.

It should be called Ken Block: SPLOSiONS now...

I hope there are more rally tracks this time. There weren't enough in 2.

Also that trailer just looks like DiRT 2. It even has the Pink Floyd Animals power station from 2.

DiRT1 was awesome and had allround experiences...

DiRT2 was an american x-games/superstar wankfest with less content than the 1st one...

I swear if I hear "HI I'M KEN BLOCK AND YOU ARE PLAYING COLIN MCRAE DIRT2!!!!" one more fucking time...

dirt 2 was lacking in tracks so badly

Which is a shame as I've had lots of good times with it online, especially when there were 5-6 of us at once

Last week we saw a video previewing DiRT3, and now Edge magazine has spilt more details.

Snow, ice and dynamic weather changes are on their way, along with what may be a truly great idea, direct uploads of your awesome race to YouTube! And all this on top of what the Sim Racing Tonight boys call the best FFB so far.

With 100 promised routes ready to race on, it seems DiRT 3 will only improve on an already great game.

Firstly, regarding the trailer; am slightly moist.

Secondly, what FloppY said. This was my biggest issue with DiRT 2. The game was meant to honour Colin McRae; a rally legend, so they should at least have shown a little decorum, keep it focused on great rallying, great racing but as FloppY quite rightly pointed out, all it transpired to be was an 'america x-games wankfest'. If they're going to continue with the 'Colin McRae: DiRT' series, it shouldn't be far removed from the first game. DiRT was considered part of the 'Colin McRae Rally series' and I hardly think it's fair they turned it in to Ken Block and his buddies practically jacking each other off over how good they think they all are. Admittedly Ken Block can drift a Subaru Impreza under a trailer but he can't finish a rally stage for shit. 'nuff said.

Edit: Also, as much as I love Monster Energy Drink, I really do, the game was a glorified fucking advert for the stuff. McRae would've loved DiRT 2, no srsly..

32 rally stages.

Compared to what, 5 or 6 in Dirt 2? Sounds great. Rally was my favourite part by miles.

Except that one we always play in multiplayer. Can't remember the name.

The one where you could launch your car to the sky with that hill?

It's quite different but at the same time quite similar.

I think it's better than Grid.

God I can't wait for this. I loved the rallying parts in 2. Seeing that just made me go old school for a race (Mali Alan Pass + No HUD + Manual + Hardcore difficulty = win by .8 seconds). Just thinking about the new rally stages is

I liked doing Hillclimbs in WRC class cars in DiRT1

Am I the only one?

Nothing could beat the replays when you powerslide your rear end into a tree at 150km/h

Pike's peak long version in WRC-class car = sex on wheels

Technically dirt 2 had 5 or 6 geographical locations and then a few variations in each of them that thematically felt exactly the same.

I would like to believe what he said at face value but if you take say 5 locations and have 3 tracks with reverse courses you are already at "30" tracks. Which is what dirt 2 has.

Hopefully it isnt that, but dirt 2 treated the same track but in reverse as an original track.
