Finally gonna down Neffy tonight. Closest we've ever gotten pre-nerf was 18%, so we're bound to get him tonight.

the aq event was more fun than bwl, sure, but aq20 was a piss-walk and aq40 was frustrating as hell.
bwl's timing was just... the zenith of WoW's glory-days, imo. the prestige it carried in the early days was awesome, too. not to mention the fact that tier2 was the best looking set for just about every class and was far above everything else in terms of design. and of course the necessary attunement/resistance grinds to even get in there and be able to make it past the first 1-2 encounters... meant that everyone you saw in tier2 pieces or with the awesome-looking bwl weps had done their fair service. i just remember those days really fondly. the bosses were pretty difficult, the gear genuinely carried that epic feeling, and only a few guilds per server really had bwl on a comfortable lock. i still remember the shouts of 'NEF DOWN!' in all the city channels whenever a guild used to manage it... and still remember seeing people in full tier2 with the MC legendarys, or even ashkandhi or however it was spelt...

Their reasoning is most of the serious raiders have done normal modes, nobody's progressing through them anymore, so why not nerf them to let newbs have a shot.Brasso wrote:

well that's always their reasoning. i understand what they're doing as well. but in all honesty, better gear should take the statistics (e.g. how much mana needs to be conserved, how hard tanks are getting hit, etc.) out of the equation, leaving only strategy and competence to be desired

I see where you're coming from, I can see myself getting tired of the look, if I have to spend as much time in here as I did in BWD/BoT.
Its like OS and thank god I only had to be there for 10 minutes a week
