I got rid of most of my useless ones. I use Archud (Cannot play whatsoever without it, so used to having my HP right next to my character), Gladius for obvious reasons, used to use Bartender, but I got rid of that, could never get it quite how I wanted it. Omen for the daily HC (Diamond Threat Meters sucks so much arse). Chatter, cause the normal chat box is terrible, Omni CC, just handy, that's about everything I think.

i used a stock ui for all of the hardest content in the game and my entire pvp grind

a few other mods to add some functions... barely used. stuff like alpha map and instance maps.

people that fetishize ui customisation are morons, imo. it's a phase every WoW player goes through. OMG MUST GET LEET UI!

UI mods aren't banned or regulated by blizzard, though... only the really ridiculous ones, i.e. the raid mods that told you exactly what to do and when, and marked it in-game for you. i'm pretty sure blizzard just 'dealt' with that problem by creating their own versions, though, and then integrating them 'officially' into the game. the result? lazy UI-mod culture has made the game even easier, in small and incremental ways. stuff like dps meters and aggro warnings too have taken pretty much all tact out of tanking/dps... why consider your gameplay now when all you have to do is match your rotation to a neat little visual graph or threat-% ? it's pointless and easy.

Only mods i used were Recount, Atlas Loot, Auctioneer (back when it had the good features, like giving you profit margins.) and Pally Power. Everything else was just worthless to me, no point. WoWs standard UI was extremely well done IMO.

If the women don't find ya handsome. They should at least find ya handy.

I actually agree with you 100%, i always like them, but since i've moved to a laptop screen i need the extra space. It's free'd up quite a bit.

I swear I had around 50 addons at one point. They each added a little bit but christ did they slow down my load times

I had this one addon, can't remember the name, but it turned my raid bars into boxes and I could do a lot of customizing like:

turning the box into a health bar so I could keep track of raid health
putting curses etc that I could cure on top of the box so I knew who had what so I could go down the list
different keybindings so I could ctrl + click the box to perform one function, shift + click for another etc.

It was great for raid healing but would've been worthless for anyone else. I believe most of the DPSers in my guild didn't even have the raid bars visible on their screen because it didn't have any meaning for them.

On the contrary, hitting a player with probably 3k+ resi for 37k then 31k is quite special.
