I have never played COD Blops, or MW2 for that matter, but imo those were lame videos, Finray.
Black Ops takes more skill because you have to look in the corner of the screen to see the red dots. In Bad Company 2 they pop up right in front of you and you just aim your gun directly on them, whether you can see the person the dots are representing or not.11 Bravo wrote:

Wow, this game is unplayable on my PC. I have 4GB RAM, AMD 3.2GHz Black Edition...look this shit plays Crysis/Bad Company 2 just fine so CoD should be a joke.
The Framerate is fine, but there's huge huge stuttering. It's like the game only thinks I have 256MB of RAM.
I used to play CoD 4 on my old crappy computer with 1GB of RAM and a 7600GS and it was smooth. The game hasn't improved graphically and it's using the exact same engine, so I don't see what the big deal is.

The guns sound like crap, I swear the sound design in this game borders on amateur. Every developer needs to play BC2 and understand that's the benchmark for sound in games.

My main issue with this game is the gay hit detection and the knifing. They should make the knife like it is in Battlefield 2, not a superhuman lunge through my bullets that aimbots onto my body with the push of one button.

I downloaded the patch, the game ran much better. Abit like Fallout New Vegas with the patches. But I'm tired of having a game that runs like shit out of the box. I feel for the bastards who bought this game on launch for the PC. You need to wait a good few months after release before bothering to buy a game on the PC.
I'll admit tt's always been like that with PC gaming, but it was never this bad.
I liked the SP. It was nicely done, I think. That small tie-in with WaW was a nice touch. And thank fuck for once they didn't put in a Captain Price or some weird reincarnation/variation of Price into the game. Jesus, let the man die. Every fucking game since CoD 1. He's not even likeable. Although Woods still reminded me alot of Price. He also looked like one of my mates

Yeah, BC2 was on sale during the Steam holiday thing. Then Vietnam was on sale + someone here posted a discount voucher for the UK EA store. Something like that

I only play wager matches, now. This game is fucking horrible, but wager matches are fucking brilliant.
I play it on xbox and it doesnt really have any terrible techincal issues, but its not as good and addictive as MW2
Some of my work-friends still play it on console, but most PC gamers I know of just don't bother. I still play MW2 with friends a lot of the time. Waay more than this.

The story wasn't that confusing, I found it interesting and easy to follow. I'll admit at the very beginning I was thinking "Ok, this action is a little too much" seriously enemies are everywhere and it's constant mayhem. It did have alot of slow/paced moments though. Not much but plenty of sneaking and gruesome melee kills in the game.
It still made more sense than the chaos in Rio in MW2, seriously I know the favelas are bad but again, it's not exactly Stalingrad 1941.
It's been like this since CoD 2. I've done them all on Veteran so I guess I'm used to the insane SP campaigns in this game. So I'm pretty sure MW3 will have a bigger kill count than the entire Serious Sam series put together. That's before the multiple nuke explosions underwater, in space and in the air whilst you're in a dogfight using an F-22 over Moscow..
