#2: If they pass you and miss, sprint forwards, turn around and lunge.

the reason indiana jones used his gun in that shot is because Harrison Ford was sick with the flu and was too tired to fight the guy with his whip like the script said. Instead he pulled out the gun and shot. Director thought it was great and they re-filmed it to be included in the movie.
