cpt - I think I'm being dense here.  Are you trying to say that a group of folks (ex-service men, whatever) are burning Baptist Chirches due to the views expressed in the website "godhatesfags.com"?

I'm not a Baptist, but don't blame all Baptists for their stupidity. That would be like.... blaming all Muslims for terrorism, no?

I hate to say it, but I grew up going to a Southern Baptist church, and I would say that the majority of Baptists feel that "God hates fags."  Maybe not to the extreme that the people who put that site up do, but to a lesser extent.  The closemindedness (and hypocrisy) I saw in my church growing up actually caused me to become very disilussioned with Christianity.

Your 'beef' is with the members not the Head.  Big difference.

A hate group is an organized group or movement that advocates hate, hostility or violence towards members of a race, ethnicity, religion, or other sector of society. Yeah I agree with you rebel about the burning the church, and I'm feeling more enlightened about the baptist church. Are baptist churchs generally black?

I thought it would be both so why would the KKK attack such organizations?

It then goes on and says:

I would not use wikipedia as an accurate source since anybody can edit the definition.  What is the legal definition.

Could the person just be a pyromaniac that hates churches?  Don't jump to conclusions and blame this group or that just because you are ignorant on certain issues.

Wow i havent heard you say anything but refuting anyone else trying to go on a power trip, because if you'd read the post i said "i am more than willing to bet that it would be a hate group. my bet would be either the KKK or one of our other white supremicists groups." So please read more carefully and dont twist my words. Did i ever place blame on any group NO! i just said thats my bet on who it is, and if you would like th logistics of where The KKK and other groups are just let me know and ill be mor than happy to tell you their loations. I can easily tell you this because before i had several black friends I WANTED TO BE ONE OF THEM!!!! now im disgusted at that. So please dont post If You are ignorant on certain issues!
