Hell ya! I loved the AvP games.
AvP games are dope. I've been following this game since it was announced. Playing as the alien in the first games was great great fun.

I doubt the alien would move that fast, at least when controlled by the player.
I also can see them having some stupid timer system for the aliens camo and night vision. Something like an upgradeable battery that can only be upgrade y finding parts for it.

All the claustrophobic, paranoia memories from the previous games, especially the first one, came back in an instant.
Awesome!
Also nice to see that Rebellion are developing it again.
I really, really hope that they make all the lights and lamps destructible like in the first one.
It's awesome to destroy all light sources in an area and sit completely still on the ceiling as an alien.
This is a must for multiplayer. It made the second game much less scary.
Also, the engine that Rebellion used in the first one supported much more detailed dismemberment than Monolith's Lithtech engine in the second.
I remember shooting off single fingers of dead aliens, which didn't work anymore in the sequel.
Another thing:
Rebellion didn't implement a saving feature, so you had to complete a level in a single go, which added so much more to the suspense.
If you're honest, everyone abuses the save feature at times, if it's only to conserve ammo or items.
Only later with a patch they allowed for up to 8 saves (per level, IIRC).

i remember the game. im glad they are making another one. i remember back in 2002 ish rebellion studios and sierra made the first two AVP games for PC.. and multiplayer was sooo much fun. i always played as the predator ( heavy predator or assault predator).
i remember the fond memories of cloaking and hiding some where only to see a poor marine or alien. whip out my plasma caster or smart disc . wait for the 3 dotted triangle of death in my hud, and BOOOOOM, instant kill.

I never played AvP2, but AvP over modem was one of my first PC multilayer experiences.
