BF2S Forums Earlier COD games

I took a look on Youtube on the first and second mission of COD1.

Not much to say, looked rather boring. The Effects where horrible, not sure if it was due to his PC but there was like 4 huge pillar of lights in the background now and then that was supposed to look like something.
Then the standard, hide, shoot and then move forward.


COD4 story and gameplay was awesome in my eyes, better than any type of WW2 game I EVER played. MW2 improved the gameplay but it was shorter and the story was lacking. Not much time to get to know the characters either, like in COD4.


According to Xfire, WOW is ranked Nr 1, COD4 Nr 2, MW2 Nr 3 and COD2 is Nr 4.

Still think most people like to have that "Old is better" mentality because it's "Cool".

that's odd because right now the "cool" mentality is that MW2 is the shit.

Did you see the part where they jump in the beetle to drive to HQ?

How about the prison break?

The commando raid on the dam and the battleship?

The totally epic Russian parts?

Sure it's not CoD4/MW2's 'HOLYSHITLOOKATTHISEXPLOSIONSPAMRAAAAAAAGHOMFGACTION' all the time. The games have better pacing for it.  I do not remember any 'pillars of light' at all either.

COD 1 came out for PC
COD united Offensive PC
COD2 PC, 360, PS3
COD3 360, PS3, shitty Wii game
COD4 PC, Consoles
MW2, PC Consoles. 
Other console only games are Call of Duty Finest Hour and Big Red One.

Prison break was alright.
The dam and battleship, kind of boring.  Most players didn't like the British campaign because of those two missions, since you were alone the whole time in those two levels.  Although, Pegasus Night/Day were awesome

And hit indicators

CoDUO was the best by far.

I played Pacific Assault and I really liked it. Apart from some annoying bugs (I STILL WANT MY SILVER STAR YOU EA FUCKS!!!!!!111 ), it was quite alright. Liked the slightly different setting and the story telling was damn good cause you actually followed one character and his fireteam, thus making the bonding easier.
CoD1+2 were better though. CoD´s campaigns always appealed to me more. They grab you by the balls and pull you right through. Even though it´s hard to identify with your alter ego, the mission design is really challenging and the atmosphere is tense.
