I've been doing the following every week:

gym twice a week for upper body and legs
at home twice a week i will do an ab workout
go for a jog/run 2-3 times a week
eating as healthy as possible

To be fair Cam, working out is not so much self improvement, it's also nice to set personal goals. Plus it's great to feel really healthy, eating right, living right, i feel more alive for it. I had a period back there where i stopped going to the gym for about a year and i felt fucked, every single day, always feeling groggy and shit. Since i've been back lifing and running i feel amazing once again.

I'm of the opinion that some people are destined for physical exercise, it just works for them, me being one of them. I got mates who do nothing and are fine, they drink, smoke and eat shit foods and never lifted a weight or run a mile in their lives, i don't know how they do it.

Yeah I used to laugh at my mate for going to the gym, so its unlikely you will get it but you feel soooo much better after doing some solid exercise, it improves your self esteem and its just something to do.

Ya know its worth noting, if you can't afford to pay for gym membership or you just don't have the time to commit, you can do press-ups! There is an absolute wealth of variations you can apply, press-ups can work different muscle groups and all you need to do is change your hand placement.

I feel fantastic after an excellent workout, and I feel all round more confident around everyone, because I like my body. Confidence is a huge part of life, and this seriously improves it. If you already have a lot of it, then fine, but it's also very healthy to workout like this.

hahaha, yeah i can hardly do barbell shrugs behind the back because the bar has a hard time rolling over my ass.

what exercises are you doing for your calves? im just doing 3x15 calf raises at the moment.

Right, i got flavourless whey protein and i gag when i drink it with either water or milk, what to do?

I'm serving up equivalent 75ml portions of whey (which provides me 30g protein), does it matter how much fluid i use with it?

got a blender? try using a bit of chocolate syrup, banana, etc, whatever tasty shit you got around the house.

doesn't really matter how much fluid you use either. depends if you want it thick or watered down.

Yeah bro, use a banana and some like low fat choco syrup.  Or Peanut butter!! 

@ androoz i usually do standing calf raises on the smith machine, i set two plates on teh ground to use as a platform then do four sets (my typical pyramid) then I do seated calf raises same set amounts, then ill do some of the calf machines we have in teh circuit area of the gym.  I also mix in little calf presses when i do leg press.

Man, my legs are on their third day of soreness, and second day soreness in my chest.  I hate Friday, while it is usually an off day, by Friday I feel like I've been hit by a goddamn semi truck.

I have FNG's coming in all the time... Friends who are like "damn bro, you're getting big.. Can I workout with you?" They never make it past leg day.
