I'm torn between Leliana/Assassin Guy and Morrigan/Old Woman Mage
Leliana is good at lockpicking and I've missed EVERY chest when I didnt have her. Assassin Guy is way better at fighting though.
Morrigan has good attacks and is hawt. Old Woman Mage is awesome for healing, nobody has been knocked out in ages.
This stupid fucking dream world in the Mage tower is driving me nuts though. What if I dont want to be a mouse!?

She wants me to kill her mum, an old woman who lives in a hut in the forest by herself which is all well and good, until she turns into a massive fuckin dragon. Shit its hard to kill her, I have a save just before the battle which will allow to me avoid the fight but still makes Morrigan think Flemeth is dead, so I may have to do that if I can't beat her

I just found out how to give gifts about 10 hours into the game. I love how you can just give 5 or 6 at once to one person
Ye after a while though any gift will just give +1, still useful though, I banged Morrigan last night.

Brilliant game. Only have one ending left to do now.
Large-scale spells are so much fun. Blizzard + Earthquake + Sleep on a chokepoint, enemies get frozen, stunned, or fall sleep in a nice little group, then hit them with virulent walking bomb and enjoy the fireworks.
Or hit them with waking nightmare while they're alseep, and watch them kill each other

Updated the OP with a CGI trailer from October. It's pretty badass, but the characters look so different!
