4,000 hours on Guild Wars sounds insane... the game was monotonous as hell!
TF2 I think I've played ~1000 hours, that seems to be my standard for competitive play, when I sorta reach my 'peak', haha.
Trailers for MMO-type games are always epic... just hope the real content delivers!

Wait, I got that wrong. It's 3000 hours, over a period of almost 4 years. And I know a lot of people who actually double or even triple that amount..

In retrospect, sure the zones were gorgeous, but the lack of movement and the tunnel-design style was a bit... 2002.

Very playable, the game is over 4 year olds, and didn't really required a high-end PC back then. I'm not sure if you'd still want to start now, though. The community is still very active, but it will be hard to find groups in the lower-end areas (not that that's needed, you can play and finish the game perfectly fine with NPC's only). You can enjoy the game without any added packs, but I'm pretty sure you can get a bundle of all 4 games nowadays pretty cheap.Bevo wrote:

PS: There's always the trial keys you can use to give it a go. They give you a 24-hour access to the game, I believe.

You used to get them from somebody else, I guess now they're just handing them out.
I played the original from the beta events in 2004 up to the end of Spring this year. Some ~2500 hours I believe.
