So the Normandy gets destroyed by a Collector. Honestly, as much as I loved the Normandy, it's good to get a new version of it. I feel like staying on the same ship wouldn't allow for people to feel like they're truly playing a sequel. Not to mention, taking that elevator down to see Garrus/Ashley/Wrex/Req Officer was REALLY fucking annoying. Hopefully the SR2 has a better layout.

I'm so fucking happy I decided to pick up ME1. Best video game related decision ever.

I hope ME2 has no elevators in general. They made up at least a third of the playtime.

I also really hope they worked on the autosave, every time I died I had to go through at least 6 elevators to get back to where I was.

I'm doing my second playthrough now and I didn't save it on Therum looking for Liara... was just about through the Mako part when I fell into the lava. Had to do the whole drive over again.

More autosaving would be nice.

I guess it is kinda good I waited until 1 month before Mass Effect 2 came out to actually continue with Mass Effect 1. This way, the love I have of the series and of ME1 is fresh in my mind.

Did anyone get the collectors edition? I don't really see it being worth it.

that and an artbook and a comic book. oh and it all comes in a shiny tin case!

Players who access ‘The Cerberus Network’ will receive the first DLC pack on January 26th (launch day in North America) featuring new missions and in-game items. Included in this pack is a mission that introduces Zaeed, a rugged and deadly gun-for-hire who is recruited to join Commander Shepard’s mission to save mankind.

After launch, BioWare will release another DLC pack for Mass Effect 2 that introduces the Hammerhead, a new vehicle in the Mass Effect universe.

Here’s a description of the Hammerhead:

I got the Collector's Edition mainly for the art book. Only 10$ more than the original version here, easily worth it for just the book, not to mention everything else.

Next Tuesday for Us North Americans, 29th for the Euros.
