BioWare has sent word that gamers taking a break from hitting on Miranda will be able to get the new Cerberus Assault Armor and M-22a Eviscerator Shotgun DLC for free through the Cerberus network within Mass Effect 2. The content should be available for all fans, both on PC and Xbox 360, at 12:00pm Mountain Standard Time. Here’s a description:
Cerberus Assault Armor
Cerberus assault armor is designed for shock troops, turn the tide of battle against creatures or forces that would decimate normal soldiers.
Increases heavy weapon ammo capacity by +10%
Increases shields by +10%
Increases health by +10%
M-22a Eviscerator Shotgun
The M-22a Eviscerator Shotgun is a longer-range shotgun with armor-piercing loads. This design also violates several intergalactic weapons treaties, so the M-22a is not distributed to militaries.

Yeah I was just testing the armour.
Not tried the shotgun yet as my current character can't use them.

Started again as a Renegade without an imported save. Wow, there are quite a few things different/missing. Kelly is called Yeoman something?!

Still not enough heavy weapon ammo to fire the Cain twice. 6 Percent missing

You ended up getting all 3 Dr Pepper items then?
I'm STILL wearing the Umbra Visor. It's awesome.

Just downloaded the new shotgun. Too bad I finished the game and have no more missions. I really wanted to try it out.
I hope extra mission DLC comes out soon.

I'm not too impressed with the weapons and that thermal bullshit is quite annoying, I mean, if you make it a shooter at least provide enough ammo.
There is plenty of thermal clips around...Chou wrote:

You do know that you can complete the game more than once per copy of the game you own right?Big McLargehuge wrote:

Samara: I could finally sit back, bask, and enjoy my family. But in one moment, it was all taken away.
Shepard: Cry me a river.

There is more than enough ammo. The reason it seems like not enough is that it is split between your guns, even though clips are "universal". So your sniper rifle can run out of "universal" ammo while your SMG is full. So you run around with "full" ammo, yet still only have 14(15?) shots with a Widow or like 11 with the first bolt action rifle. Its just dumb.Chou wrote:

inb4 you cant aim there is enough - I never said I ran out of ammo constantly/struggled with no ammo. I am just saying it is annoying to come close to running out every fight and being full again the second you walk through the room you just massacred.
While I am on the subject, answer me this.
Spoiler (highlight to read):
~2.5 years have passed since ME1 right? If that is so how does Jacob's fathers ship (the Hugo Gernsback?) which has been out of touch with the galaxy for 8+ years have ammo clips all over it?
I´m with you on this one. I just started again as an Infiltrator and especially in the beginning it is annoying as fuck. I run out of sniper ammo constantly. The Infiltrator carries neither assault rifle nor shotgun, so his only powerful weapon is the sniper. But repelling waves of enemies takes more than 10 shots, even if all are to the head. So I have to either run around during heavy fire looking for clips or switch to the pistol/smg. And while the pistol and the smg pack a punch later on, they are plain shit in the beginning, before all the upgrades.TimmmmaaaaH wrote:

The handcannon suffers from the same ammo problem as the sniper, with only 24 shots and the need for 2-3 to the head to take down the average merc, so I use the Heavy Pistol again
The SMG is like throwing peas at kinetic barriers. While the high ROF is good for in-your-face-close encounters, everything further away is impossible to hit straight. Can´t wait to get the semi-auto rifle.
My copy finally arrived! Stupid mail asses, took them 2 weeks to deliver it
Anyways, can someone tell me whether I can use the DLC´s on multiple characters or are they bound to one? Especially the pre-order bonusses?

Mix the old with the new. Only require clip reloads if you overheat the fucking gun, otherwise infinite ammo per 'mag', as long as you give the gun time to cool between bursts/shots.
Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.
