Did anyone else notice the 2 references to Firefly. Whether they were deliberate or not.
Blue Sun is the name of the corporation that was experimenting on River, and you can see various references to them throughout the series, and Zaeed's line about being "Big goddamn heroes" is very similar to to a line Zoe has in the episode Safe.
I was just about to buy one of these and I remembered about the stuff in ME2.
Spoiler (highlight to read): Ohhhh...I thought he wanted to release control of whatever, but didn't make it because his...claw thingy didn't touch the controls, and his eyes faded.
Edit: Also, I assume you lose the characters you lost at the end forever if you continue in ME3? I lost Garrus and Tali. (And Jack, but I never liked her.)
Spoiler (highlight to read): Yeah, i lost jack (no loyalty) Zaeed (fire team) and Legion (Specialist). But there is an award for not losing anyone... Are there specific people that are the perfect fit for the specialist and fire team that would survive? Im really wondering...
Spoiler (highlight to read): Miranda = Squad leader as she has obvious leader experience and confidence
Legion = Specialist since he is geth and has the computing power of 10x normal geth mobile platforms, + he can communicate data at the speed of light... I suppose Tali could be specialist aswell since she is a tech'ie but I haven't tried since I <3 her as a character:3
Samara = Biotic barrier in swarm room, she has 400 years of experience using biotics as her weapon and she is obviously more powerfull than Subject Zero (remember, Jack is only the most powerfull HUMAN biotic)
Grunt = crew escort (he is a 1 krogan army)
100% survived in my first playthrough... even the entire crew (do this by going through omega4 as soon as the IFF is online and EDI has killed the collectors on the normandy)
Spoiler (highlight to read): Was Samara loyal? I chose her as the shield, but she failed right at the exit, and the swarm carried Garrus off. I assumed it was because she wasn't loyal. (I failed her loyalty mission)

Spoiler (highlight to read): zomg the swarms actually carry someone off
Yes I think that was the reason, because she was loyal for me and she then barely holds the field up in the end, finally exiting the door and emitting a biotic blast to blow away the last of the swarm...

I thought that was obvious lol. The game goes on and on about it being a suicide mission, you have to be your best etc. I thought it was a given that you would fully upgrade your ship and have full loyalty.
Spoiler (highlight to read): Tali was my only non loyal character (I sided with legion when they confronted each other, and even with 100% renegade I couldnt intimidate her back ) and she died while the rest of the team was holding the line at the end. I used legion as the specialist, garrus as the leader, grunt as the escort, then miranda (maybe jacob) as the second leader, jack as the biotic shielder (same cutscene as samara it appears after reading this thread).
Spoiler (highlight to read): I didn't assign any escort. Gave me a shitload of Renegade points and all my crewmembers died. (Not the teammates. The ones like the doctor.)
I must say though. That scope slowdown for the Infiltrator is awesome. "VATOOOOOOM! Niiiiiiccceee ssshhhoooootttt."
np.. btw: Infiltrator gets epic slow-mo when you look through sniper scope by upgrading his class ability, making headshots a piece of cake :3
YEah infil is my main character. LOVE the slow mo. i pop up for 2 shots, scope out then scope back for another 2 shots
Use the first sniper rifle or the widow (.50 cal-ish one) for those slow mo shots, the 1st one has less ammo but punches much harder than the second semi-auto one....
widow rifle ftw!!!

Spoiler (highlight to read): Is there a way to get all three of the advanced weapon trainings? I want the LMG sniper and the shotgun
I think you would have to do 3 playthoughs as soldier to get them... but I don't know if weapons transfer between playthroughs like they did in ME1... any other class would need a minimum of 4 playthroughs to first get the weapon training and then the weapon...

I'm hooked at the moment. I loved ME1 and was looking forward to where the series would go from it's very solid base and it hasn't dissapointed. It's a shame though, some of the visuals just scream for a big screen and my 17" monitor simply doesn't do it justice. Remember from the first when Sovereign is attacking the Citadel et al, that's on of those moments as is one in ME2 where the Normandy is flying towards a derelict Reaper. It would look awesome on a big screen.
Fantastic game anyway. I really want to finish it but at the same time I don't want it to end. It's rare when a game like this comes along and I'm loving it.

I just love how you are told the story, proves that linear games can be spectacular...
I suppose this is the moment you are referring to in ME1 (@ 2:00)
EDIT: Who the **** prohibits embedding x_x

I was just on Illium and overheard 3 guys in the bar there talking about Asari. The Salarian said they looked like blue salarians, the human said they look like blue humans, and the turian said they look like blue turians.

Thought it was interesting.
There is alot of discussion going on about that bachelor party conversation on all ME2 related forums...
I lean towards the cross-species hormones theory.. but tbh I won't assume anything untill I get the codex entry in ME3

So i brought Legion on board the flotilla, yeah not a good idea.
Sure it is, soon after they are finished fighting you can lol at Tali's irony over saying that she would never, EVER, EVER bring live geth onto the flotilla... Spoiler (highlight to read): Besides, they need to become friends so the geth and quarians can live side by side again.. with the heretics gone and all
