Finished the game 4 hours ago. Got everybody out alive including Shepard and the crew. Toss in a Fully upgraded Normandy, and we are ready to kick reaper ass. Didn't choose new game plus though. Going out to explore the galaxy and the expansions that are soon to follow.
Question for those that beat the game:

Hate what they did with the combat, and the xp mechanics.
Basically gears of war 3 with a spaceship and more story. Spoiler (highlight to read):
I hate gears of war with a passion
There is enough non combat parts of the game for me to play it through on casual (like ME1, higher difficulty seems to mean nothing more than enemies have less health) and enjoy the storyline but..fuck. Really dissapointed.

Everyone. I chose Legion to do the hacking, Samara to use her biotics and Mordin to lead the crew back to the Normandy, and used Miranda to lead the other team. 300 achievement points
Also, I much prefer this combat system. You actually have to be smart about fighting and use cover. It also makes you rely on your powers a lot more. Vanguard <333

I usually go with Thane and Grunt or Garrus and Grunt.
Grunt's honestly the best choice out of all. Massive amounts of health, uses assault rifles, etc.
Eh, cover systems are so overused and overrated. Give me an fps where you can strafe and shoot reliably/more accurately anyday.Poseidon wrote:

I have since restarted the game as an infiltrator rather than an adept. Enjoying it slightly more thanks to the precision of the sniper rifle. Its really the stupidly low ammo count on the pistols and the need to always switch to the innacurate submachine gun that was annoying me most. If thermal clips are so universal, why can I be "out of ammo" for one gun and full for another. Only 11 shots with a sniper rifle without finding more ammo is fail.

oh, a tip for those who are about to go through the Omega 4 Relay (no spoilers, don't worry):
Here's what you should do in order to keep everyone alive:
For the Vents, use Legion or Tali. For the first and second squad leader, use Miranda or Garrus. For the Biotic shield, use Samara or Jack. For the Escort, use Mordin, Miranda or Jacob.
oh and make sure you get all 3 of the ship upgrades. Without the new ship cannon, armor upgrade and shield upgrade you WILL lose some squad members.

How did Legion manage to die? I've heard of one ending where 3 people die on the landing on the Collectors' base.
They need to come out with YouTube videos for ALL possible outcomes.
