The internet has ensured that I was aware of the passing of Robbie Coltrane. I remember him first from James Bond, and from old consoles trying and failing to capture his likeness.

He seemed completely fine with the idea in an interview, a role he enjoyed, and more power to the man. Ambivalence is the worst I remember from involved actors' commentary about their roles. Even Kenneth Branagh, with a number of more serious titles under his belt, said he had fun during his time in one of the movies.

I'd think you'd be open to the notion, Dilbert, rather than expressing dismay that fewer people will remember Coltrane from something like the 80s Henry V than Harry Potter. Would you feel the same if he were in some Marvel vomit?

the UK has a good and healthy tradition of serious, well-trained thesps taking on light or comical turns for fun.

branagh has been in some absolute rotters. more relevantly, from the 'HP universe', alan rickman was a serious actor who took on plenty of campy roles for children.

Imagine being remembered as 'the Harry Potter actor'.

why would this be a slight or insult in your books, though, when children's movie franchises are just as valid as any boring dramatic claptrap?

Tons of people (who dilbert despises) die prematurely in the developing world, while he makes fun of them (and thinks they should hurry up and die more). It's apparently alright for him to construct some bizarre mythos about how someone doesn't care about covid victims, in spite of their due diligence with preventative measures. At the same time, he casts doubt over vaccine efficacy, "they keep coming up with new boosters, the whole thing is a sham," language over the web that reduces confidence in vaccines and leads to more deaths.

Really trying to do everything by email at this point, and its actually going pretty well - one big pat on the back so far.
A trip to SE Asia after Christmas might be unavoidable, but if I'm super lucky the guy whose parents live out there might be happy to pick up that task.
If not maybe I can take an afternoon off and a quick road trip and kick uziq's ass.
