indeed. I get more and more pissed when games drop splitscreen, one of the reasons resistance 2 and UT3 are so great.Miggle wrote:

@ Miggle: Regardless, the price is far too high.
Modern consoles are too busy working on their shitty online to capitalize on one of their only advantages over PC, which was the vast amount of decent local multiplayer games to play with a few friends in one place.

as to the karma nab *coughPoseidon/Warmancough*. Maybe if the xbox 360 had some worthwhile exclusives other than gears and fable 2 I might get one again. Until then ill stick with the much vaster PS3 exclusive line up.
we know vilham, you hate the 360 and cut a hole in your PS3 and had sex with it
did you guys know miggle likes SS2 as well?
like others have said: the 360 has a far superior online service, so if you have more friends with a 360 than a PS3...get that. if you don't care about online play, get a PS3.

Could ya'll kindly cut your shit out of my thread, unless it's actually productive.
I'm not really sold on anything, it's still a lot of money. A Used PS3 and handful of games is still ~$500, which for me could be 50 meals. That's huge.

it's really up to you...actually, here could be a deciding factor: what's your TV like?Bevo wrote:

At my house? There's a GIANT TV that I could use, or something closer to a 32". Both nice. I'd prefer the larger TV.Poseidon wrote:

Get a PS3 then. When you first pop in a Blu-Ray and see the quality....you'll be fucking amazed.Bevo wrote:

I remember playing my first Blu-Ray (No Country For Old Men) on my new TV and being absolutely blown a way. I actually remember a spider crawling across my screen and not knowing whether it was actually there or in the movie itself.
Spoiler (highlight to read):
It was actually there. Fucking bugs.
And that was all on a 32" TV...if you have a 40"+ TV you're going to be amazed.
We already have a bluray under that TV.... Dad has a very large collection of DVDs, so we got one right after HD DVDs were burnt out of competition. Yeah, the picture is sweet.Poseidon wrote:

Both the 360 and PS3 are HD capable... what about the PS2?
ps3 is a better value overall
i use them both and love the 360 ....but oooo that blue ray picture is Butter

We already have a bluray, so that feature won't really bring anything to the table.Kimmmmmmmmmmmm wrote:

PS2 is not HD capable, but when it comes to library, local multiplayer, price, and just about everything else, it beats the current gen consoles
get the one with the games you want to play the most then haha
See, that was my opinion...but he apparently has a Blu-Ray player already.Kimmmmmmmmmmmm wrote:

In that case I'd go with a 360. I've got both as well and while they both have their strong points, without the Blu-Ray player going to use I can't really advocate getting the PS3 over the 360.
Get Fable II/Gears 2 (depending on which type of game you prefer) and Forza 3 when it comes out. Do you have GTA IV either? If not, get it...the 360 version comes with TLAD which is beyond awesome.

plus you can get them for dirt cheap nowadays
but like i said, inbetween a choice with 360 and PS3 and you already have a blu-ray player...go with the 360.

you do have to pay to play online with the 360 but you blow 60 bucks on each game you play... so it's not a big deal

dunno how reliable the site is though
im not really thrilled about the PS3 game line up. maybe MG solid for the PS3 is the only game i am really interested. ill keep my Xbox 360 elite for another 3 years .
games make consoles folks not the other way around. look at nintendo Wii, shitty graphics but look at their game line up especially for those kids out there. xbox 360 has a better game line up than PS3. rewind the clock when it was PS2 versus the first Xbox. who won in terms of sales, PS2 , why they had better games than X box even though xbox was a better console.

please tell me what exclusives from these lists the 360 has that are better than PS3 ones?specialistx2324 wrote:

Having a PS3 and having had a 360 and still having a brother with a 360 and a PC capable of playing any exclusives that are actually also on PC I know which ones are better.
I would also love to hear what features the 360 has for its online that are better than the PS3 which would interest someone who doesn't care about mates playing online with them....
Don't be tricked into getting an xbox because you already have a blu ray player, PS3 is still the better option
To be honest I think they're pretty much equal.SamBo:D wrote:

The irony of guns, is that they can save lives.
Not to mention, apparently Activision threatened to "stop supporting" the PS3 and PSP.specialistx2324 wrote:
