Howdy.
My clan puts on charity tournaments (usually more of a series of events spread out over a three day period) to benefit various organizations. We have done this once before and raised almost $2000 dollars for toys for tots, which is not bad at all for an online gaming clan. However, this time around we are doing our best to get as many people as possible to come and attend.
The Charity is the Children's Miracle Network. The Children's Miracle Network is a non-profit charity which raises money which it then uses to pay for medial supplies, hospital stays, etc. for children who can not afford to pay for their medical expenses.
The Entry Fee/ Events
The entry fee is $15 dollars. All Proceeds go the the charity. The Events will span three days, starting on Friday, June 5th and ending Sunday the 7th. The games played will be Call of Duty 4 and Call of Duty: World at War, as well as some poker using our own poker client which is built into the website. The Full list of events is here. The Sign up link is here and the donation link is here.
The Hosting Organization
Snake and Snots house of Fun is a clan/ community founded in 2003 focused on respectful, family friendly gaming. We have rules against heavy swearing, racism, and the like. We run many servers over Call of Duty 4/5 and have a very active community of over 500. Please be respectful of the cause, the players, and the organization. Your welcome to swear with your mic closed or on your own vent. If you feel like you cant put up with the rules refrain from signing up.
