Kojima didn't start out with Sony. His first two Metal Gear games were made before the PlayStation was released.

If Valve tries to release a new l4d with the first in the state its in I'll fucking start a riot.

Usually at this time of year i'd hope for some sort of Battlefield 3 related announcement, but with 2 games coming to the PC already this year then it's not going to happen.

As for Valve. I think Episode 3 is likely. They have a booth at E3 all to themselves so maybe they're going to showcase more than one game? Portal 2? CS 2? New Left 4 Dead content? New IP altogether? Whatever it is I can't wait.

I don't really care about anything else.

Agreed, the first is still a complete mess, mostly due to the matchmaking, and they're being incredibly slow (for Valve) to sort it out.

Konami is still a business. They're in the industry to make money. They don't really care whether you or anyone else wants to keep a game exclusive. It doesn't even compare to what Mario is to Nintendo or Halo is to the 360. MGS is not Sony's posterboy. Rather, they have several exclusive titles such as Gran Turismo, Ratchet and Clank, Resistance 1 + 2, Killzone 2 which are all highly regarded by critics and users alike, but none of which alone stand above the others.

PS, about "Left 4 Dead 2"; I'd imagine it'd be more of an expansion than an actual sequel. New survivors? I want Liam Neeson, Clive Owen, Jason Statham and Gina Carano.

Heh, I guess you have a point there. But then again if I wanted to be picky, I could say the Metal Gear SOLID series started on Playstation.

But anyway, Sony had a big lost with FF coming out on 360. Yes, they're in the industry to make money but that doesn't mean Sony won't throw a shit ton of money their way to keep the series an exclusive. What do you honestly expect if they put MGS on 360 and GT on PC? Nobody's going to be buying a PS3 anymore. I know Kojima could put the game on 360, but I see Sony doing everything they can to stop him from doing that. It's not that I don't see the developers making exclusives cross-platform so much as I don't see the platform companies allowing them to make them cross-platforms.

You have a point, but not everyone buys a console strictly on the console-specific games for it. (I didn't my PS3 for MGS or GT5, as I own neither of them)

I bought it primarily for it's Blu Ray capabilities, and the fact that a few friends had a PS3, and playing online together sounded like fun. (and it is.)

Nintendo showcases the crap that gets them so much monies. Drives knife further into videogamings back. Reggie spins enough crap on the latest periperal product to provide manure for the whole world.

Microsoft have a lacklustre conference, but will have 1 announcement that causes every Xbox fanboy on GameFAQs to proclaim MS won E3. Mass Effect 2 demoed. Halo Recon shown. New date on Alan Wake.

Sony have a great conference showcasing all the great exclusives they have up and coming this year. GoW3 demoed. Heavy Rain demoed. MAG demoed. Uncharted 2 features prominently. Use LBP instead of Powerpoint. LA Noire teaser trailer. Kojima annouces Metal Gear Raiden...crowd boos. Says "I ras roking!" and announces MGS5. Crowd cheers. Team ICO reveal new project.


SEGA announce they are dropping Sonic as their headline game and give that title to Valkyria Chronicles. Announce sequel to VC. (I hope )

Blu-ray isn't that complex dude. Recently some researchers in Melbourne created a disk that has the potential to store 10TB of data.

Its also smart these days to make the games cross platform unless they're guaranteed to make humungous sales to their designated platform.
