I thought it would be totally useless. Now I think it's slightly useful.

Still the worst possible unlock option imo.

I'd assume you'd be able to get a new one from ammo boxes/Lockers. But why it slows movement on an already slow character confuses me.

I'm hoping it reduces the Sniper's speed to that of a Heavy.

Err why? My flame was against stupid Valve fanboys... I never have and still don't give a fuck what updates they throw in for the casual crowd. When I play sniper I won't use any of the bonus weapons, nor will I care about the XboxLIVE style achievement system. People that camp the TF2 blog hammering F5, people that post insane walls of text about meaningless nothings on Steam Forums- that's my 'Lol of the day', not the prediction that the rumours are all tosh.

Internet drama? Err, I'm just bored of the 'exciting' rumour mill everytime Valve release an update. We should be used to the routine by now-- used to the whining and mass-disappointment too, dare I add. None of the updates and patches really add anything of lasting worth; arena, what happened to that? It's waning, check the global TF2 stats under the map activity section. They're throwing two more arena maps out there but excellent map design won't change the fact that the gametype is pointless and ill-suited for Team Fortress. Extra class unlocks and weapons are great but, again, ultimately the fate of most of them will be the TF2 bin where no one will use them and the competitive scene won't even bother noticing. Just seems like Valve are pointlessly stringing out a tired routine now with the update-cycle. Meh.
