BF2S Forums [TF2] The Sniper/Spy Update

Yeah I got all three sniper unlocks with my first kill now i can finally have some fun with the huntsman to bad it doesnt fire like the flare gun like i thought it would.

If you're on fire whilst shooting the Huntsman your arrows are too

Also if a pyro spychecks you your arrow goes on fire

So I was standing behind Uzique flaming him, setting his arrows on fire

What the fuck are you talking about since when does the ambassador mean you can't backstab

Same logic to you too: since when did the Huntsman dictate that you cannot headshot?

I prefer the sniper-rifle but I 'get' the concept of the weapon. It's hard to use but I respect that it has a learning curve of its own; anyone that can learn to rape with it in close-quarters deserves to reap the rewards.

Because it promotes chest shots over headshots and snipers should be looking to headshot? The ambassador compliments accuracy and headshots with the revolver which doesn't detract from the spy's core game mechanics.

Learn to aim, head hitboxes don't change at all when using the huntsman.

Yeah, and all along the secondary machine-gun gives the player an 'easier time' to deal chestshots... the plain fact is, most Huntsman players will still ideally aim for the head in order to ensure the '1 Shot, One Kill' sniper rule-of-thumb. The people that repeatedly aim for the body will just be the same faction of beginners that aim for the body with the normal scoped-rifle. Easy.

And yes we have played in the same server; I've joined your games several times and you have dropped by my local pub-haunts (e.g. HH, Boontex) several times when you're not busy whining and saying how utterly terrible the game is .

In that case, the Amb promotes sniping over actually doing what a Spy is supposed to be doing, because of the accuracy cool down and crit headshots.

The Ambassador does not fit the Spy's proper play style at all.

The only time I use it is when there's a sentry humper who is hard to backstab, so I can take him out with a head and body shot, then sap his stuff.

Promoting chest shots? Aern't Snipers looking to do what everyone else is trying to do, and trying to get the kill?

There's nowt-all wrong with the Huntsman, imo.
