I regret every penny spent so far.Vilham wrote:
from the review on rockpapershotgun i read its actually more like a tower defense game than DK. Basically you make rooms to satisfy the enemy, not your own minions. Then you setup points where minions just wait to ambush them.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

Made contact with more peoples and sorta hit the west coast during exploration. Strained peace with the Shawnee, Cherokee and Creek, but it should hold. Still no contact with Europe.

Crysis 2 leaked developer build, not bad for DX9

i love it when people complain about the death of pc gaming and then think it's somehow cool to post leaked screens of a game that isn't even out for another month and a half. im sure the pc-focussed developers like crytek will carry on prioritising the pc gaming platform in the future! i mean why wouldn't they!

Where have I complained about that huh? And yeah, consoles have been first in the mind when making this one, well before any dev leaked a thing. So whats that about?Uzique wrote:

lol Uzique PC's aren't always the first to get leaked games anyway.
And if you hadn't realised by now, PS3s and Xboxs can and have been hacked in countless ways already.
If you're suggesting piracy is a PC only concept, you're sadly mistaken.

Leaks tend to create more hype anyway. I doubt a bunch of eager games are going to go "well, I was waiting for the release, it's been leaked though so now I won't get the game".
If anything it's a talking point to get more people knowing/interested in the game.

where have i said that in the slightest? wow what a terrible assumptionAussieReaper wrote:

all i'm saying is that 'certain' pc developers (crytek actually being the main culprit) have openly said how the pc gaming platform is dying-- and they blamed the massive piracy of the original crysis for this. they lost money. there's no incentive for developers that were once commited to furthering pc gaming technology (the new engines, the dx10/dx11 leaps forward, etc.) when they're constantly having their shit stolen and ripped off. i'm not exactly anti-piracy but i am against blatantly and unashamedly burying the fucking pc gaming world. it's so much worse when people constantly piss and moan about the 'quality' of pc gaming nowadays. what do you fucking expect when you shit in the developer's faces?

I'd expect a decent game. If its shit I'll say its shit.
e: Its hardly our fault that we can download and bypass all the anti piracy they put on PC games these days. If a retard like me can understand how to download a game, mount an iso and play the game there's something wrong.
If they make good games (you can't use Crysis as an example of a good game) people will buy it regardless. I've bought 4 copies of BF2 in the last 5 years and if this copy breaks or I get banned from all the good servers I'll also buy another. Sure, I've downloaded a couple of copies too, but I don't see a problem with that since I've legally purchased so many good CD-keys.

Anti-piracy today exists only to create problems for the consumer tbh, the "pirates" hack right through it within hours of release anyway, but the people who actually BUY the game have to go through problem after problem and annoyance with the legally bought game because of said useless anti-piracy...lrishpride wrote:

And developers who move to consoles because they don't want piracy are idiots, if they move, pirates move... They can't run from this problem...
I think the best way is for multiplayer games to use "accounts" like BF2 and those after have, and singleplayer games should aim for quality of the game itself to make people WANT to support the developer... but instead they keep doing shovelware releases and complain why noone buys it...
Also: @ Irishpride.. Crysis was a good game imo... your opinion or my opinion =/= fact...
