Okey i got a new VGA and after setting all to HIGH i tested it online. Well i dont know how about your Linebacker or APC but mine looks intresting.
Im just wondering if everyone has the same as me. I dont know why but it cought my attention. Maybe its coz my new VGA (ATI HD3080)?
I tried it on low and medium settings and its the same. Maybe its just fake alert

Anyone else got the same? Coz i remember this was not like this with my old VGA and on n00b settings.
How can i fix it without reinstalling?

Can't say I've noticed that on the linebackers myself, but the models do look very different on high...on low the blackhawk minigun is just a black cone!

Delete the BF2 folder in "my folders" after of course backing up the screenshots.

Whoa, never experienced that, then again, haven't played much of BF2 at high either. I'll check it out myself and report back.

Maybe I don't play too much, but I've been noticing some funny graphical goof-ups in BF2 and some mods like AIX and Pirates.

Well okey thx i belive you Somehow it looks preatty wierd on the Linebacker. The color is not even matching and its lame. I also thought thats some kind of ATI bug or something. Btw thats not plus armour on them, so DICE has to fix it every one has the same like on my pics.
That thing should be on the two sides of the Linebacker. See this pic.

And btw BF2 on ALL HIGH is FaNTASTIC! I played Wake yesterday and Road Rage -> A-10 is amazing!
I got all HIGH exception is Dynamic Shadows what i turned off, coz it makes moving shadows look retard. And i got AA off coz its a waste i guess.

Wont it make your fps huge and wont you get some sort of hardware lag? Maybe i try it but i think my 1GB DDR is not enough but i plan to get another 2GB. Yeah my CPU is also old AMD Athlon 64 3200+ My VGA is now the "best" 512MB ATI

Yeah, it will reduce your frame rate.

How much varies from model of card to model of card.

But if you're card can handle it (which, I think (can't be sure 'cos I've not used the GPU you've got myself), it will) it'll make your graphics look the best they're going to.

OH, and it helps with resolving detail at a distance.

What frame rate do you get without AA?

So i used Fraps for checking my fps. I played in single player on Zatar and its quiet intresting what i saw.
First i put 8x AA and yeah truly its more realistinc and awsome! My fps was jumping around 60-70.
Then i put AA total off and i player the same map and my fps was jumping from 40-60 and i was lagging sometimes.

Maybe i should test it online or the same things again.

Probably because your CPU is old, and when you up the graphics, it offloads work onto your GPU

So can i ask a noob question? Im not pr0 in tech stuff. So my motherboard is an MSI K8N Neo4 and i got an AMD Athlon 64 3200+ CPU. What possibilities do i have to get a new (better) CPU without having to change my motherboard and ram system (good old DDR ftw)?

Too bad you dont live in the US (and near a Fry's store...) or you could just toss the CPU/Mobo and get a good cheap upgrade

But anyway this says it supports:

CPU

• Supports 64-bit AMD® Athlon™ 64FX/64 processor (Socket 939)
• Supports 3000+, 3200+, 3500+, 3800+, 4000+, FX53 and FX55

Not a huge selection... And FX processors are so old that theyre expensive About $100 US, which for a single core is a rip off

^^ Thank you for helping me! I think i will get a new CPU whats good on my current mobo (k8n neo4) and hopefully i will get another 2 gigs of ram.
Well funny as i wanted to avoid spending huge money on my pc and i nearly spend the amout what could get me a new pc or the half of it
