Your tonsils are two lumps of tissue that work as germ fighters for your body. The trouble is that sometimes germs like to hang out there, where they cause infections. In other words, your tonsils start causing more problems than they solve.

I actually was just informed like, literally 30 minutes ago that I might be having my tonsils removed. I've got some tonsil stones that won't come out and apparentely a tonsillectomy is the best solution.

When I was younger I kept getting strep throat over and over for the span of 1 year. Don't think I have had strep throat since my tonsils were removed.
