Actually, in a lot of cases we simply got the censored, German version. It seems that publishers are too lazy to produce multiple versions of the same language.

Oh, I didn´t know that. I actually never bought a game here in retail, I always import throuh play.com or amazon. Most german version are shite. But I got told from a lot Austrians, that they don´t have to put up with cuts. Looks like they got trolled, lol.

I think there's some misunderstanding ...

I believe that means that the "early access" that Play.com customers get is in fact the Beta. You don't get early access to the Beta itself, you get early access to the game in the form of the Beta version.

... which is released on the 28th, tomorrow.

But seriously, if you haven't got your key yet, just chill... It's no use until they put up the installer for download. After install you have to log in with EA account and then enter beta key. Wtf would getting it 2 days before from play.com do?

Nope, a few lines down that site is this:

Pre-Order from Play.com and receive a code to access the PC BETA before anyone else! The BETA is due to start on the 28th January 2010 (subject to change). Codes and instructions on how to access the BETA early will be emailed two days prior (currently 26th January) to the start of the BETA.

And I don´t really like to phone them, seeing me sit in Austria and them in Englishland. The costs.

@Sisco10 Then one of two things are true:

1. Play.com are lying
2. Play.com is part of a select group of retailers that get to give out beta keys before the general public can get their hands on them

I know the key is no use until I can actually download the client. That´s not my point.
I preordered the game there so I have the key as soon as I can download the beta. If they would have said I get it the minute the beta is released, fine, but now I´m unsure.
Also, there seems to be a bazillion dicks using "Sisco" as nick, and then never play ever. Happened on this site too, so havin everything ready would increase my chance of getting my Nick. Might be retarded, but still

Oh, thanks for the offer of calling them btw. Much appreciated, but if tomorrow I still aint got none, I´ll call them.
