I'm going to go ahead and say this is the worst Steam has done since the release of HL2.

Massive promotion to bring in the crowds to see what a wonderful system it has become (a lot of whom I reckon were turned completely off Steam after the HL2 fiasco), and this is what they see.

It's not full speed but its been steady so far.

Update still crawling though, should be good, UT3 was a decent game but just died a swift death due to competition/console-nubness. This revamp sounds like the developers put their glasses on properly and took a long hard look at the shit they created in the first place. Plus, Steam Achievements, woop!

I think the real reason it didn't take was because it was pretty much UT2K4 but with GoW graphics.

Hopefully with the price lowered and Steam promoting it, more people will get in.

Also: 35.5kbps. On Steam I normally get >500kbps, even though if my Wi-Fi wasn't limited I'd get 1,700 kbps
