The third iteration of the Command & Conquer™ franchise’s beloved Red Alert™ series is returning with Command & Conquer™ Red Alert™ 3: Uprising exclusively for the PC. An epic single-player campaign expansion, the standalone title catapults players deeper into the Red Alert universe, giving them more of the action-packed gameplay they have been clamoring for, while offering a gauntlet of new and compelling challenges with the new Commander’s Challenge mode. Command & Conquer Red Alert 3: Uprising will be available for digital download this March.

”Uprising is a game that in many ways reflects the feedback we have gotten from the Command & Conquer community,” said Amer Ajami, Senior Producer at EA Los Angeles. “We’re giving gamers more of what they want – more of the fast, fluid and fun gameplay, more of the story we began to tell in Red Alert 3 and more cutscenes featuring top-notch Hollywood talent. At the same time, we’re excited we’re going to be able to bring new things to the mix, including new units and the Commander’s Challenge, which is a great way for players to hone their skills and get deeper into the combat.”

Command & Conquer Red Alert 3: Uprising takes players into the aftermath (RA1 link? ) of the epic battles in Red Alert 3, with the Soviets still reeling from a crushing defeat, the Empire of the Rising Sun desperately trying to regain both honor and identity and the seemingly victorious Allies finding themselves in the midst of corruption and deceit within their own ranks. In addition to four mini-campaigns, one for each faction and one bonus campaign centered on the origins of the Empire of the Rising Sun’s commando Yuriko, Command & Conquer Red Alert 3: Uprising will also introduce the new Commander’s Challenge, enabling the players to test their skills against a set of nine commanders from different territories and difficulty levels in 50 unique challenges with their own special rules and unique conditions.

In true Command & Conquer fashion, top Hollywood talent will be delivering the gripping story in full HD live-action cinematics. Fan favorites Gemma Atkinson and Ivana Milicevic will make their stunning return to the high ranks of the Allied and Soviet leaderships and will be joined by an all new set of stars, who will be announced soon.

Command & Conquer Red Alert 3: Uprising is a standalone game and does not require Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 to play. This product has not yet been rated by the ESRB, PEGI or USK. For more information about Red Alert 3, please stay tuned right here at RedAlert3.com.

EA sure don't waste their time with expansions do they...

I just hope its worthwhile, and does fill in some of the missing story. On the base of it, it seems to be similar in style to ZH/KW, with unique commanders for each army (and even a rehashed "Spectre Gunship" ). 50 challenges may take some time to beat though

From the looks of it, the new gunship must surely be a secret protocol...its too big for an airfield. I hope to god its not a KW style "epic unit"...those just ruined it.

Spoiler (highlight to read):
Oh yeah, with the ending of the Allies campaign, that must mean The Hoff is now the US president

It's a standalone expansion? Wonder how that came to be, coming from EA.

I think that the plane is gonna be more like the Sent-Tree bomber but it can stay up indefinitely without having to re-arm.

RTS on a console is epic fail. RTS on PC (especially RA3) is epic win.

I love the new Allied bomber.

And that big samurai thing.

I really like the direction expansions are going in the way that being 'stand alone' seems to be becoming standard . There's no downside to it and it lets people who wouldn't otherwise get the expansion get it.

Meh, I'm kind of disappointed by the Japanese Robots. Fucking hell they made some incredibly beautiful mechas in their animes and mangas and they give us the bloody ugly tripod robot thing, WTF is that?

You need to get out the house more often.

I never really liked the RA series. Only the 1st appealed to me. I hate the predicted alternative stuff. Especially the Jap and Soviet stuff. Looks terrible tbh.

I liked mechas a lot when i was around 14.
I'm just saying, the US has hot chicks, the Russians have well crazy stuff and Japan is not really that exciting.

Mechas were in back in C&C:Tiberium Sun.

God I love a swarm of Titans.

The Imperial side seems to really lack anti-air. I haven't played much as them but so far I've only really been able to use the Mecha Tengu in flight mode and the Chopper-VX in ground mode to defend against a swarm of twinblades.

Thats all they have, other than seawings. Burst drones just plain suck. Although it looks like the Empire "archer" shown in those screenies might be that counter-unit.

The reason they have no AA troops is because their AT unit is the tankbuster, which is more powerful than Javs & FT's (he can take on Infy too ).
Which is why empire can suck early game, and why Allied Vindi rushes can dominate almost every Empire player. Empire have no T1 AA unit, except for Tengus, which can only be built after Allies have air-units due to the build tree.

Although, Tengus dont have to reload or restricted by airfield spaces unlike Apollos, so if you can get about 7-8 out, you should dominate the Allied airpower. Getting that amount out can be very hard though, due to Cryo and Vindi combinations.

That is, on small maps anyway. Its somewhat harder to pull off on large maps, or anything other than 1v1.

Rocket Angels.

A friend of mine who always plays the Empire always spams Rocket Angels in response to my Twinblade invasion. It murders my Twinblades.
..and I tend to forget he does that until they're on the screen, making me scramble frantically to get some AA units.

Oh yeah, forgot about them. They are a pain in the ass when spammed, but flak works well due to the splash damage.

Just take out his barracks a few times during the game, and he has to tech up again (twice) to get them back

Ah yeah I was using them as well, only managed to get one before I got nailed by the twinblades. Though my Mecha Tengu's frightened them off a few times.

I kept getting confused between the different ways of building stuff though, I was building the Empires stuff and kept wondering why it hadn't asked me to place, then found they were all waiting outside the construciton yard

Those are all the way at tier 3. You can easily beat rocket angles with some bullfrogs, flaks or migs. Rocket angles simply aren't viable inf anti-air for empire particularly for vindi rushes and especially vs allies since apollos own the skies. To be honest empire just needs to beat vindi rushes or rely more on their navy and less on their war factory.

A better idea would be to make vidicators a tier2 aircraft. They're fairly OP at t1 but not so much t2.

What have allies got for T1 air then? Literally what could allies do at T1? You're just asking every allied player to go manspam or turtle. Vindis are fine as they are it's just that because apollos rule the skies tengus (unless spammed by loads) and migs don't stand a chance against a good allies player who can micro his apollos.
