On Topic the only game I am sure I want is L4D. I like pretty much anything that isn't an MMO or a sports or fighting game (though the latter two aren't really common on the PC.)
And given the three games that I listed (and highly enjoyed), use that as your guidelines.
Well, you already have those three games. Anything better's still a ways off (Elder Scrolls 5? FC3? Dawn of War 2? heh). L4D's a good choice, but be sure you have some buddies on Steam with it, because otherwise it throws you into random games and game lobbies (ugh, why can't we just get a browser). As time progresses, it's going to get even harder to meet good players that way through the rank cloud of horny teen racists and elitist basement dwellers...and harder still to ask a question about game dynamics without inspiring awesome nerd wrath.
But yeah, other than that, L4D is a great game. Most immersive zombie shooter to date, in my opinion. Love the dynamic soundtrack.

some version of CoD, maybe a racer? Are you PC or any consoles?
Well I'm not sure how good CoD5 is...
Single player is fairly straight forward and will last you one trip through, if you start on the hardest difficulty. Multiplayer was initially buggy, but has improved a bit to date. It's a good title, and if you liked CoD4 it's a good pick. Make sure your computer can run it, because it's more demanding than L4D.
