[Prince of Persia] Rent, Buy or Run Away?

So the newest prince of persia has been released and I was wondering has anyone played it yet ?
Most reviews are saying it's pretty good, but since the media is often biased I would like to hear you guys' opinions, is it any good or is it pants ?
It looks ok, a bit cartoony though but as long as the action is good I'd like it...
And if it is truly I'll ask santa to gimme one

I'll get it eventually. My favourite of the series was Warrior Within. It had the best plot and fighting sequences and didn't have that pissy little dagger that did fuck all. Two handed sword fights were and the Dahaka was and even the two chicks were

because pretty much any game that wasn't absolute shit (and some that were) has gotten at least an 88. Anything with any hype gets so many perfect scores that metascores are a complete joke.

Look at the "all time high scores list". I wouldn't exactly call any game on those lists that are above a score of 88 or so bad.

Which is why the closest a game has come is a 99 with LoZ: OoT...

GameInformer listed in their review that it lost some of glitz that it had when it first came out on the PC and 360...but they still gave it a 9 (I think).

Exactly, It's not even the best GTA, reviews are based 90% on hype and 10% on the game, sometimes moreso on the hype.

It's still an excellent game though, which is why it's got a score like it does. I do disagree with the 98 though...I'd give it around a 9.3 or 9.4.

I don't like modern gaming, I think it's pretty sad that a lot of shit that was done well in the 90s isn't being done anymore and a lot more money is being put into advertisement and graphic design than actual gameplay work.

I don't like how gaming has become a lot like film and music, where there is rarely a good mainstream movie or artist, and the only decent shit is old or indie.
