I sold it because I restored it all the way back to when it rolled out of the factory, unlike when I bought it as a boy-racer car..I bought it back then for 1200 euro's and sold it for 3600,- with a ref. G-lader, US taillights, restored leather interior, new front, new discbrakes and some misc. stuff.
I bought this 1.6 so I can now start saving some money to finally getting my house done and still being able to drive VW.

I can only imagine, I see cars done wrong every day, makes me cry a little. But restoring them to original, doesn't have to cost much because it's all OEM parts that can be found on the junkyard.

Sadly I'm not mechanically minded so self restoring isn't really an option, you could make a living off it over here, 99% of MK3 Golf GTIs have been ruined, so no shortage of stuff to work on

I believe they were about £200, and he's just bought a brand new set of Yokohoma tyres too. He had a set of G60 Steels before the cups though.

Oh god :p A set of those here run for about 800,- Euro's without tires and 2nd hand with tires for 200,- xD. But I'm going off-topic
