Even if I had any French education, I probably would have needed to know it was a French brand to think of it that way. It was all in good fun, newbie. They made an entry in our communal notebook to have proof that I can, in fact, be fallible at times.
lol
I'm reminded of the old Patton (e: or kelly's heroes, the general there was indistinguishably gruff i recall, thx df)) clip where irt "clair-moan" he leaned over to the other guy and said "don't you mean clair-mont?"

the sopranos has at least 4-5 good gaffes and mondegreens based around tony's/his crew's shaky grasp of french/italian.

Ah yes, General Colt by Carroll O'Connor. It's all coming back. Would have been a great mini-campaign in Company of Heroes or CoD. Not the scene, but still classic:

I bought a Dyson cordless vacuum today and I'm way more excited about it than I should be.
That's fantastic news KEN! Got any pics?
I was pleased with my Shark. It smells a bit too strongly of baking soda now after a vigorous carpet cleanse, even after a few years of use and filter swaps. Might be time to relegate it to the garage, or maybe I'll pay someone to deep clean it.
Not yet, it arrives today. It's the V8 Animal, if you're familiar. Probably overkill seeing as I have hard wood floors everywhere, but I need something to clean the rugsDauntless wrote:

I accidently broke a vacuum a few days ago. I tried to vacuum up some carpet cleaner that was damp. The dampness broke the microchip at the bottom of the vacuum. The vacuum would still suck but the bottom wouldn't spin because the electronic board near the spinner was ruined. Why does a vacuum need a motherboard I will never know.
Vacuum cleaners are pretty exciting. I have three in my workshop.
House vacuum unit repurposed as a machine dust extractor - haven't yet worked out how to make it variable speed so even with half the motors disengaged its overpowered and too noisy.
A sweet triple filter industrial vacuum salvaged from a laser marking machine.
A standard drum vacuum bought well used for $20 a decade ago and still going
What I need is a high flow/low pressure machine to go with my robot, but needs to be speed controllable and low electrical noise.
Seriously thinking about one of these bad boys which would be triggered by my saw, then I can probably ditch the drum vacuum and maybe the triple filter unit.

You could have bought a fully sick vacuum cleaner for that kind of money.
Fuck Israel
Why would you buy a bulky appliance in a country you're temporarily staying in?
What is your favorite anime?uziq wrote:

unisex trainers!
If you think about it, sneakers can be so much more ornate than any other casual article of clothing you'd wear for going about town. I'm pretty sure I've seen shoe ads with researchers actors in lab coats and eye protection looking at a computer model or something. Engineered to perfection!

Uzique really traveled to the other side of the Earth to find a girl he could gas light into thinking it is okay for him to wear women's shoes. What else do you tell her people do in England? How many lies have you told her?
