If it rains tomorrow (likely) Hamilton and Vettel are gonna rip it up.

BrawnGP - no experience whatsoever in the rain so far. Could prove costly

I'd like to think that Button/Barichello and the rest of the team are well experienced in the rain, it shouldn't throw them off anything. Brawn GP isn't really a proper "new and green" team, but it is a new team

I hope it does Rain tomorrow, Wet races are always better especially now that there are slick tyres coming into play which would give them pretty much zero freedom to do anything once the rain starts unlike last year where you could be "ok" for awhile if it started to rain

Would be interesting to see KERS in the rain. I'd imagine the wet weather would limit the use just a tad in fear of spinning out of control?

shit, I don't have the right chanels over here (not at home), so I'll have to watch the re-run at 20:30 GMT.

So yeah, I won't be visiting this thread before then

It's either that or the edited version at 16:00. And edited is ftl.

on the topic of KERS, I saw Kimi's graphic thing (shows the gear, revs, speed, etc) didn't have a KERS-battery icon during the Qualifying. Maybe Ferrari, or at least Kimi, have decided to race without?

Well the director of Ferrari said on the Beeb that Kimi was going with KERS during the weekend's action despite the incident on Friday in which the KERS battery melted and left Kimi blinded by smoke in his cockpit. You didn't see the icon because apparantly theres a button on the steering wheel that disables KERS, which ultimately led to the icon being removed as KERS wasn't being used at that time.

The battery was still there, but wasn't in use

Looks like it's race over to me, decent race, there was some good driving out there and it seemed that Glock managed to be spot on with his Tyre (or is it Tire) tactics and get right up into 2nd place

Well loads of people said it would happen and it did, two weeks until race in the PRC (I think), also I think in the next two weeks you'll be hearing about the final say on the diffuser row

Yeah I remember him doing well a while back with what was BAR Honda but then he just sort of dropped off the radar and it's good to see him back, cos he is a good driver

But they all are, it just shows how much the car matters when it comes to F1. It's not like suddenly people like Button and Trulli became much more awesome than Hamilton, Massa and Raikkonnen it's the cars

Two weeks until the PRC race so you might see some development on the cars between the races, we all know some teams need it

Shame about the rain, but it was interesting to see the red-flag scenario again Interesting that Ferrari fucked up again with regards to Kimi's tyres (mek ) - wet tyres on what was still a dry track was just plain stupid. If anything, Massa should have been the test for it because he was waaaay back down the track, to give Ferrari some hope of getting at least 1 constructors point in 2 races

I lol'd at the spectators going on mud-slides down the slopes

I lol'd when Raikonnen pulled out, put on some shorts and took an ice cream and a can of coke out of the fridge

Oh yeah, and Hamilton too (good prompt KP ). Although it depends which lap you go by, finishing 6th or 7th was good for him too. Again, despite his poor car, he is keeping himself up there.
Had a good scrap with Webber (?) where he blitzed him on the straights with his KERS, but on the corners, Webber took him every time. Kudos to Lewis considering the week hes had.

It was cool to see the KERS in action on Hamiltons car too...on the straights he absolutely murdered Webber, but on the rest of the track Webber had sooo much more pace.  Should be good when all the cars get the KERS going properly.

Yeah Hamilton had a good scrap with Webber. The MP4-24 lost a lot of time on the fast corners, as Hamilton said.

Shame about Heikki, out on the first lap each race so far

The last time a Grand Prix was abandoned due to heavy rain was in Australia in 1981 and it is only the fifth time in F1 history that half points have been awarded.

Ok, its hot out there but most people were of the opinion that starting the race late was asking for trouble. Why do they have to bugger about changing things, I heard the locals said the race should have started at least an hour earlier than it did and if that actually happened the race would have been clear of rain.

And KERS really looks like a waste of time so far.

complete anticlimax. was hoping for a rosberg podium on merit, not a lottery result like hiedfeld (who just sat around, got overtaken left, right and center, yet still gets away with 2nd place). bernie is an idiot for forcing such a late start when a monsoon shower is 100% guaranteed since the dawn of time.
