We've had plenty of presidents who claimed to be religious yet it was clear that was only for political purposes. Their religion did not truly influence them. So we've already had some atheists in office when it comes down to it. There's a big difference between devout and attending to keep up appearances. Obama is a good example of this.
No. I don't think religion is an issue.
As long as it doesn't interfere with their work, I don't care.
