CoD5 Beta Errors

1.Unkown Exception Caught Bullshit error: If you have Vista, go to Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Sound -> Double-click Speakers -> Advanced -> Set Default format to 24 bit, 48000 Hz (Studio Quality) -> ok

2. If you are receiving the .dll error, download the missing .dll (that's why you're getting the error, because you're missing the .dll) from here:

3. If you get a black screen, or some related error that doesn't allow CoD5's graphics to run properly, then download the latest direct X from here:

dont you still have to register the .dll file?

as in, opening a command prompt and typing:

regsvr32 path\filename.dll

Well sometimes on makin, the water dissappears and i get a bit on the bottom that appears, but rest doesn't, its not really a problem as i can see people in water clearer

This could be a video card error. But first, try reinstalling the game, or redownloading it then reinstalling. Sometimes information just gets lost in these betas.

When my friend tries to join a server when it is populated, it says "server disconnected." But when he joins with nobody in there server, you can get in with no issues. Any ideas?

Also, he can invite me in that empty server and we can play with no issues. Then other people joined and he had no issues. Kind of odd.

As far as I know, it does not. I don´t even know if there´s an option in XP to change that anyways.

hmmm...no ideas eh? i thought we had computer people here. i guess all they can do is argue about which one is better.

hmmm...no ideas eh? i thought we had computer people here. i guess all they can do is argue about which one is better.

Tell him to check his Anti Virus and Firewall, it could be preventing him from joining populated servers. I'm not really tech savvy so I don't really know, it's just what i'd do first.

well re downloaded, from diff mirror, still when i join castle it just freezes and i have to exit out, and when I join waken it just restarts

Then it's probably a piece of hardware either bugging out or not being able to handle it.

AVG is known to block everything, and can be really annoying sometimes. If you have AVG, go to your firewall settings and enable "Gaming Mode". It'll have a little checkbox. If you don't have AVG, try turning off your antivirus completely. If all else fails, reinstall.

yeah game not worth it, I can only play 1 lvl, half to time it says disconnected from server, and feels like a mod of cod4 so no way in hell are they getting my money
