I cant seem to find the option new website under the file tab.. Can anyone help?
I suggest not making a new website, rather create a web application. This gives you more control over your project without sacrificing the end result.
File->New-Project, then in the dialog choose your language, the "web" then "asp.net web application"
If you still would rather use web site approach it's is under File->New->Web Site. Note this way won't make an actually project file.
