4002 on 3dmark 06... cpu score is only 887... i feel i need to upgrade my cpu, can anyone confirm taht amd cpu's dont have locks?
it depends witch way your going and witch cpu you pick.. but pretty much all are unlocked downward.. so you can decrease multiplier but not increase..cyborg_ninja-117 wrote:

if its just a normal 6800 and not a gt or ultra then its pretty normal.. even with your powerplant of a cpu..TC><Injecter wrote:
Just to know: Is 6000 with 3DMark05 low with a GeForce 6800 and an AMD 64 FX 55 ?
because 05 is GFX based and cpu dosnt have much effect..
so amd chips dont allow the multiplier to go higher?sapoisk wrote:

i dont know whether to run it on my system, it sucks, would it blow my system because its not very good,
i got like 6,100 on 3dmark 03
and 2000 on 3d mark 05
should i use 3d mark 06, or would it blow my computer?

BUT Frontsidebus is more important anyways! http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=1727407
1850 3DMark06
4300 3DMark05
AMD Xp3000+ ~2.2ghz
1GB 400mhz ram
GeForce 6800LE -Unlocked and OC'd

1 problem, some mobos (mine) fry easily when Ocing the cpu coz u must use the FSB, but if u can unlock the cpu multiplier, u can OC only to the cpu, not other components of the pcTC><Injecter wrote:

But thats because you are OCing the PCI BUS and the RAM too... Your mobo doesnt support this let me call it lonely FSB overclocking... Thatz why I only use ASUS boards (except of course my Shuttle xPC)
'06, 3454... on my unclocked rig.
3500 amd64
7800xt bfg - single
2g ram

And i haven't overclocked yet
OMG... Ill have to reinstall windows -.-
Just retested after using my mobos auto overclock feature, and got 6375... not too shabby
seeing all those high '06 scores makes me want to cry...
my rig:
Althlon XP 3200
1GB 400mhz DDR dual-channel
AGP X800XT PE
my scores:
'06 - 1985
'05 - 5773
'03 - 11325
And, of course, it doesn't run any of the Shader 3.0 tests in '06

3dmark06: 4251
all the resolution 1280 x 1024 on my 19inchLCD monitor
is this score good for my system specs? and what should i do/overclock/buy to get higher scores?
specs:
Board : Intel Corporation D915GAV
CPU : intel pentium 4 630 @ 3Ghz
memory : 2 GB ddr400
GPU : asus 7900GT TOP edition
power : 300W
get a better psu i'd be worried about my system with that spec and taht low psu. o/c'ing your video card could bring great benefits.
yeah but for an core 2 dua i need an new mobo, and with an core 2 duo mobo come the ddr2 memory. that is an to expensive upgrade for me. wha about an pentium D, that fits on my mobo.cyborg_ninja-117 wrote:
core 2 duo will give you double cpu score compared to your p4
my 7900gt is already overclocked when you buy it, it the TOP edition.
